Northeast of Venice, the wide sunny valley of Cortina in the eastern Dolomites is known for great mountain biking. The valley is framed by the eastern mountain range of Cristallo / Faloria and the western range of Tofana / Socrepes. Note, mountain bikes are not permitted on the foot paths of Natural Park Of The Ampezzo Dolomites, which is just northwest of Cortina.

To reach this area from Venice, head north on Route A27 and then turn north on Route 5551.

Overall, Cortina d Ampezzo is the 1st most popular mountain bike trail of all 48 mountain biking rides in Italy.
