Chilhowee Mountain For Mountain Biking

The 4th most popular mountain bike trail in Tennessee.

East of Ducktown and Reliance in the Tanasi Mountain Bike Trail System of the Ocoee Ranger District, the Chilhowee Mountain area has an amazing network of trails ranging from easy to epic. On the easy side, ride Azalea to Redleaf and down to Benton Falls for a gentle 7.5 mile trek. For an intermediate ride, try Azalea to Clear Creek to Rim, and then continue north on Clemmer to Benton Falls and Red Leaf (7 miles).

The epic 18 mile ride starts from the lower parking area off SR30 and climbs Clemmer to do both Slickrock loops. Then follow Naked Windo Loop to Benton Falls to Azalea, and heads down the challenging switchbacks of Clear Creek to SR30.

Overall, Chilhowee Mountain is the 4th most popular mountain bike trail of all 21 mountain biking rides in Tennessee.
