Kilmer Reserve For Mountain Biking

The 17th most popular mountain bike trail in New Jersey.

Near Piscataway, the Kilmer Reserve has 10 miles of trails. This is the best kept secret in Middlesex County! The Kilmer Reserve has an extensive system of trails located on the Livingston campus of Rutgers University. Most of these trails consist of singletrack with a surface of hard packed dirt. There are several technical sections along these trails with obstacles such as rocks, roots, and fallen trees. This park also has a lot of steep climbs and descents to challenge experienced mountain bikers. To reach the trailhead from RU, take SR287 north to River Road Exit. Head west on River Road towards the University and turn left on Metlars Lane. Turn right first traffic light. Turn right on Avenue E. Main trail entrance on right.

Overall, Kilmer Reserve is the 17th most popular mountain bike trail of all 24 mountain biking rides in New Jersey.
