East of Cedar City and Brian Head in the Dixie National Forest, the Bunker Creek Trail is a pristine 12 mile singletrack descending 3,000 feet from the Brian Head summit through alpine meadows & aspens to dry forestland along Panguitch Lake.

Most mountain bike riders shuttle cars from the summit to Panguitch Lake to avoid the 10 mile / 3,000 road mountain bike ride return. This eastern trailhead is located about a mile south of the lake on SR143.

Overall, Bunker Creek Trail is the 23rd most popular mountain bike trail of all 73 mountain biking rides in Utah. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Bunker Creek Trail including Virgin River Rim Trail, Birch Spring Knoll and Dark Hollow Trail.
