West of Port Angeles, the 13 mile Mount Muller Trail #882 is a new trail constructed in the 1990's for mountain biking. The route passes through second generation forest and at the summit offers vistas of Mount Olympus, the strait and Vancouver Island.
To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Port Angeles, follow US101 west. About 5 miles past Lake Crescent, turn north on FS3071 to trailhead parking. The trail consists of a loop plus several side trails. The total vertical from trailhead to summit is 2700.
