West of Downieville, the North Yuba Trail is a rolling trek along the scenic North Yuba River. The mountain bike ride starts a few miles west of Downieville at the Rocky Rest Campground. The NYT can be combined with the Fiddle Creek Ridge Trail for a 17 mile loop passing through the town of Goodyears Bar.
Overall, North Yuba Trail is the 80th most popular mountain bike trail of all 132 mountain biking rides in California. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby North Yuba Trail including Downieville Downhill, Bullards Bar Loop Trail, South Yuba Loop, Dixie Mountain Route, Homer Lake Ride and Summit / Bucks Creek Loop Trail.
