Northwest of Munising at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula, the Copper Harbor MTB Trail System is a 25 mile network of mainly singletrack through rugged terrain in beautiful enchanted forests on the Lake Superior shore. The trails roll over 400 foot vertical hills through dense pine forest. Some of the better routes include the winding Whoop De Woo trail, the challenging Red Trail and the steep Here We Go trail. The trails are maintained by the Copper Harbor Trails Club.

To reach mountain biking at the trailhead, follow US41 to Copper Harbor. Head south on Lake Manganese Road for one mile to where payment ends.

Overall, Copper Harbor MTB Trail System is the 4th most popular mountain bike trail of all 37 mountain biking rides in Michigan.
