North of Perth near Blair Atholl, the 33 mile Glen Tilt loop is an epic mountain bike ride combining singletrack and rough fire road through rolling, barren hills.
The trailhead is north of Glasgow and northwest of Pitlochry.To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Perth, head north on A9 for 34 miles. Turn onto B8079 for 1 mile into Blair Atholl. Use the car park behind Atholl Arms Hotel.
From the car park, head north on B8079 for about 0.5 miles Follow sign towards Old Tilt. After another 0.5 miles, the Glen Tilt trail is on the right. Follow double-track Glen Tilt northeast for 10 miles. Watch for a trail veering to the right and follow it 3 miles to Fealar Lodge. Head south from Fealar on fire road to Daldhu Cottage. Proceed northwest looping around Ben Vuirich and continue southwest towards Blair Atholl.
