South of Cortina in the Pre-Alps, the town of Vittorio Veneto makes a great base for exploring the grassy, rolling hills. There are four primary routes.
La Vallata (easy) heads west from town towards Follina (up to 50km round-trip) along singletrack and dirt roads through ancient villages. Dont miss the mountain bike trek to Molinetto della Croda.
La Perdonanze (medium) heads southwest from town in a loop through Ceneda, Tarzo, Corbanese and then northeast from Molinetto della Croda back towards town (40km). Along the route, singletrack winds through chestnut forests and along rivers.
The Grotte Tour (medium) loops east from town through Cappella Maggiore, Sarmede and Fregona (45km). There are amazing vistas and lush rivers.
Giro Dei Laghi (easy) heads north from town to Lago di S. Croce on singletrack and dirt roads (40km).
Overall, Vittorio Veneto is the 6th most popular mountain bike trail of all 45 mountain biking rides in Italy.
