North of Mammoth Lakes in the Inyo National Forest, the 10 mile Inyo Crater Loop circles the namesake craters formed by volcanic eruption, while passing through dense Jeffery Pine forest. The mountain bike trailhead is off Mammoth Lakes Scenic Loop Road at the Inyo Craters parking lot. The loop is best ridden counterclockwise.
