Northwest of Las Vegas in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, the Cottonwood Valley Multiple Use Trail System has miles of challenging mountain bike trails in the foothills of the Spring Mountains through Joshua Tree forests. The trail system carved by wild horses consists of several loops totaling 65 miles. Don't miss the Hurl Trail (5 miles) and the Old Spanish Trail (12 miles).
To reach the trailhead from Las Vegas, head south on US15 to Blue Diamond Road (SR160). Head west on Blue Diamond Road (SR160). Continue past the intersection with SR159 on SR160 for about 4 miles to the trailhead parking area on the left near milepost 17. The trail loops are on both sides of the road.
