The 500,000 acre North Cascade National Park consists of the most rugged, glaciated peaks of the Cascade Range. A great bike mountain bike ride is along the 30 mile stretch of Stehekin Valley Road. Start from Purple Point Visitor Center across Lake Chelan via a ferry, and mountain bike ride back past gorges and waterfalls.
Overall, Stehekin Valley Road is the 41st most popular mountain bike trail of all 59 mountain biking rides in Washington. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Stehekin Valley Road including Skagit River, Skookum Flats / White River Loop Trail, Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Trail, Sun Top Loop Trail and Skookum Flats Trail.
