Northeast of San Diego and Escondido, the 3,000 acre Daley Ranch is a preserved open space with 20+ miles of multi-use trails. Six distinct trails cover most of the property. Most popular are the Boulder Loop Trail (2.4 miles) which affords outstanding views of Escondido, and the Ranch House Loop (2.5 miles), which passes two small ponds and the site of Daleys original log cabin.

To reach mountain biking at the northern entrance from Escondido, head north on Broadway to Couger Pass Road. The entrance is 0.5 miles south of Alps Way.

Overall, Daley Ranch is the 91st most popular mountain bike trail of all 132 mountain biking rides in California. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Daley Ranch including Big Laguna / Indian Creek Trails, Noble Canyon Loop, Anderson Truck Trail, Mission Trails Regional Park, Sycamore Canyon Open Space and Oriflamme CanyonCuyamaca State Park.
