Northwest of Corona in Chino Hills, the Chino Hills State Park is a premier natural open-space area in the hills of Santa Ana Canyon near Riverside, is a critical link in the Puente-Chino Hills biological corridor. Its 12,452 acres encompass stands of oaks, sycamores and rolling, grassy hills that stretch nearly 31 miles, from the Santa Ana Mountains to the Whittier Hills. It has 60 miles of mountain bike trails and forest roads that meander through valleys and along ridge tops through woodlands, sage scrub and grasslands.
The park is located 10 miles northwest of Corona. Take the 91-Freeway to Highway 71-North, to Soquel Canyon. Proceed to Elinvar and turn left. Elinvar and Sapphire (right) is the park entrance.
Overall, Chino Hills State Park is the 32nd most popular mountain bike trail of all 132 mountain biking rides in California.
