Blue Ridge Trail System For Mountain Biking

Southwest of Salem and southeast of Coos Bay, the Blue Ridge Trail System is a 12 mile route open to mountain biking.

To reach the trailhead from the south end of Coos Bay on US 101, follow sign to Allegany for 5.8 miles. Cross bridge, go left and in one mile turn right on Coos River Road, following sign to Catching Slough. In one mile, cross bridge and turn right on Catching Slough Road. Continue on road for 2.3 miles and then turn left on Stock Slough Road. Head uphill 2.3 miles and turn right on Blue Ridge Road, BLM 26-12-4.2. In 5.5 miles, gravel road (26-12-35) is on the left at the top of the hill. Turn onto this road which immediately splits; take the right fork (26-12-35.1). After .3 miles, you will pass a fire pond on the left. Go for another .2 miles and look for a trail on the left and one on the right.

Overall, Blue Ridge Trail System is the 21st most popular mountain bike trail of all 56 mountain biking rides in Oregon.
