North of Utica and northeast of Lowville near Belfort, the Watson East Triangle Trails are a 25 mile network of trails in the western foothills of the Adirondack Park rolling through forested hills.
To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Lowville, head northeast on SR812 to Croghan. Turn right heading northeast to Biefort. In Biefort, follow Long Lake Pond Road to the parking area at the end.
Overall, Watson East Triangle is the 23rd most popular mountain bike trail of all 48 mountain biking rides in New York. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Watson East Triangle including Snow Ridge - Carpenter Road, Independence River and Rodman - Barnes Corners.
