Black Mountain For Mountain Biking

The 7th most popular mountain bike trail in Tennessee.

Southwest of Knoxville and west of Rockwood, the Black Mountain area is private land with 30+ miles of mountain biking trails. Known for its rock climbing and hiking, Black Mountain has become much more popular with mountain bikers and ATV riders due to the maze of trails and road.

To reach the trailhead from US40, use exit 329 to Crab Orchard, which is east of Crossville. Head south for 5 miles to Black Mountain. Use the parking area at Owl Roost Gap.

Overall, Black Mountain is the 7th most popular mountain bike trail of all 21 mountain biking rides in Tennessee.
