In the southwest corner of the state, the scenic Mount Washington State Forest has 30 miles of mountain biking trails through rugged mountainous terrain.

To reach the mountain biking trailhead from the Mass Turnpike US90, use Exit 2. Head west on SR102 and then south on SR7. Turn west on SR23 and then south on SR41. Follow the signs to the trailhead.

Overall, Appalachian Trail - South Taconic Trail is the 24th most popular mountain bike trail of all 35 mountain biking rides in Massachusetts.
