Pittsfield State Forest For Mountain Biking

The 14th most popular mountain bike trail in Massachusetts.

Near Pittsfield in the Taconic Range, the Pittsfield State Forest has 30 miles of wooded trails.

To reach the mountain biking trailhead from the Mass Turnpike, use Exit 2. Head west on SR20. Follow signs into park. Turn right on to Hungerford Street, then left on to West Street. Make a right on to Church Hill Street and follow the signs to the park. The Cascade Street entrance is hidden on the left side of the road, if you reach the Dan Casey Causeway then you have gone too far.

Note: On the trail map, motorized vehicles are only permitted on trails marked by a solid line. Non-motorized use is allowed on trails marked by either solid or dotted lines.

Overall, Pittsfield State Forest is the 14th most popular mountain bike trail of all 35 mountain biking rides in Massachusetts.
