Nassau Suffolk Trail For Mountain Biking

On Long Island, the Nassau-Suffolk Trail is a 22 mile mountain biking route between Massapequa Preserve on the south shore to Cold Spring Harbor to the north shore.

The trail is accessible from Bethpage State Park, Stilwell Woods or the parking area on SR25 in Woodbury just east of Path Mark.

There is a 8 mile stretch specially designated for mountain biking that parallels the hiking trail. This trail begins on Jericho Turnpike on the north shore and traverses rolling terrain with rocks and roots.

Overall, Nassau Suffolk Trail is the 27th most popular mountain bike trail of all 48 mountain biking rides in New York. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Nassau Suffolk Trail including Bethpage State Park, Rocky Point Pine Barrens Trail, Walt Whitman Trail, Stillwell Woods Perserve, Calverton Trail and Cathedral Pines TrailMontauk State Park.
