Clarence Fahnesock State Park For Mountain Biking

The 34th most popular mountain bike trail in New York.

North of NYC and southeast of Newburgh, the Clarence Fahnesock State Park has over 70 miles of trails. Many trails are shared by hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. All the trails are blazed with round plastic discs of varying colors, or painted rectangular marks. A strech of the Appalachian Trail passes through the park (no bikes allowed). Camping is permited just east of Canopus Lake off SR301.

Overall, Clarence Fahnesock State Park is the 34th most popular mountain bike trail of all 48 mountain biking rides in New York. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Clarence Fahnesock State Park including Castle Point Carriageway, 909 Trail and Blue Mountain Reserve.
