Old Croton Trailway For Mountain Biking

North of NYC, the Old Croton Trailway is a 26 mile mountain bike route above the underground aquaduct which used to supply water to NYC. Themountain bike route runs from Tibbets Brook Park on the north edge of Yonkers north along the Hudson River to New Croton Dam in Cortlandt. The trail surface is mostly grass, except for where it follows local streets.

Overall, Old Croton Trailway is the 19th most popular mountain bike trail of all 48 mountain biking rides in New York. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Old Croton Trailway including Bronx River Pathway, Fort George Trails and Sprain Ridge Park.
