South of Paoli and west of Pine Valley in the Hoosier National Forest, the Youngs Creek Trail is a 10.5 mile mountain bike route. This is one of the most demanding trails in the Hoosier National Forest. Try this trail clockwise, though be prepared for tough climbs and rocks either direction.
To reach the trailhead, travel south on IN 37 about three miles out of Paoli to Pine Valley. Pine Valley is a crossroads with a Gas Station. It has a large concrete pink pig out front, the road just south of the store is numbered County Road 250S (although the number may not be apparent). Turn right. A mile in is a gravel road to the left. (If it were numbered, it would be CR 50 W.) A mile down this road is the parking area on the left near the top of the hill. In the southeast corner of the parking area, near the picnic shelter and pit toilets, is a sign directing you to the trailhead. Follow the double-tract 0.1 mile and watch for the signs when it runs out.
