Gile State Forest Mountain Biking

Southeast of Springfield, the Gile State Forest has a great trail network offering loops from 3 to 40 miles! The routes range from flat gravel roads to very steep.

To reach the mountain biking trailhead from US89, use exit 11. Head northeast for 7 miles to SR4A. Turn left heading north on SR4A for 7 miles and park at the Gardner Memorial Wayside Park.

A nice intermediate mountain bike ride is the Piper Pond Loop (8 miles). For a challenging mountain bike ride, try the Aaron Ledge Trail (7 miles).

The NH State Forest does not have a trail map available for the Gile State Forest.
