Northwest of Belfast and north of Limavady in northern Ireland, the Binevenagh mountain area is laced with fire roads and trails. Start by following the fire road up to the cliffs of Binevenagh, which offers vistas of Laugh Foyle. Then, follow the path along the cliff and descend back into the trees and follow the old cross country race route which is technically challenging.

To reach the mountain biking trailhead from the Limavady town centre, follow the signs for Londonderry. Across the bridge over the Roe River, turn right on the first road. Turn right at the end T-junction near a picnic area. Continue for a couple hundred yards and park near the forest sign.

Overall, Binevenagh Forest is the 8th most popular mountain bike trail of all 14 mountain biking rides in Ireland.
