Southeast of Homer, the 600 acre Lake Claiborne State Park has a six mile mountain bike trail traversing hills and ravines.

Lake Claiborne State Park can be reached by taking the Hwy 167 North in Ruston off I-20 for three miles and turning west on Hwy 146 for 20+ miles. Or it can be reached by taking exit 49 north off of I-20 for three miles and then turning north at the Wal-Mart red light onto Hwy 79 for twenty miles. In Homer, turn on Hwy 146 and look for park signs. Drive approximately 12 miles to the park entrance.
