Northwest of Denver and Golden, the 12,000 acre Golden Gate Canyon State Park has 25 miles of mountain bike trails through dense forest and aspen-filled meadows. The trail system essentially forms a large figure-eight loop with plenty of climbing as the route winds through forest and meadow.
To reach the mountain biking at Golden Gate Canyon State Park from Golden, head north on SR93 for 1 mile to Golden Gate Canyon Road. Turn left and continue for 13 miles to the park. Use the Nott Creek Trailhead parking area.
