Northwest of Athens in Acharni at the foot of Mount Parnitha, the Parnitha Olympic Mountain Bike Venue is the site of the 2004 Olympic Mountain Bike competition. Mount Parnitha is located 20km northwest of Athens. The winding circuit is a 6.1km route over forest roads and trails, along with difficult rocky stretches.

Overall, Parnitha Olympic Mountain Bike Venue is the 2nd most popular mountain bike trail of all 12 mountain biking rides in Greece.
