Bear Creek Trail For Mountain Biking

Northwest of Durango and northeast of Delores, the Bear Creek Trail (#607) is a 8 mile route shared by hikers, mountain bikers, ATV and horseback riders. The trail parallels Bear Creek. The route starts at 8,000 feet and climbs to 11,200 feet.
To reach the trailhead from Delores, head east on SR145 for 22 miles. The trailhead is clearly marked on the highway, and begins about 1/4 mile east (upstream) from the confluence of Bear Creek and the Dolores River. The trail traverses the entire length of Bear Creek, all the way to the headwaters, where it intersects the Sharkstooth Trail.
Overall, Bear Creek Trail is the 97th most popular mountain bike trail of all 178 mountain biking rides in Colorado.
