On the westside of the forest, the North Face Mountain Bike Trail is a new 10 mile route. Starting at the Visitor Centre the new North Face Mountain Bike Trail will be a 10 mile track consisting of 10 new sections of sinuous singletrack trail on the west side of Grizedale Forest. The 10 sections of trail are linked by fire roads. The trail will offer adrenelising sections of single track desent with leg burning up hills, contouring through oak woodlands and conifer forest. The challenging trail will also give the Mountain biker tricky board walk sections through meadows yet reward the trail rider with outstanding views along the way.
The trail build has been made possible through The North Face Mountian Bike Trail Partnership. The partners are The North Face, Rural Regeneration Cumbria and The Forestry Commission.
Overall, North Face Mountain Bike Trail is the 79th most popular mountain bike trail of all 93 mountain biking rides in UK.
