Grouse Ridge For Mountain Biking

The 104th most popular mountain bike trail in California.

Southeast of Nevada City, the Grouse Ridge Trail is an 8 mile mountain bike route.

To reach mountain biking at the southern Eagle Lakes trailhead from US80, use the Eagle Lakes Exit. Proceed north past NFS Indian Springs Campground. Continue as far as the vehicle will go. A 4WD is required to reach the Eagle Lakes parking area.

From Eagle Lakes, the trail heads north to Sawmill Lake. Note: then northern end of the trail crosses the spillway dam at Sawmill Lake which may be impassible due to high water in Canyon Creek.

Overall, Grouse Ridge is the 104th most popular mountain bike trail of all 132 mountain biking rides in California.
