West of Cadillac, the Mackenzie Trail is a 15km trail network open to mountain biking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. Most trails are one-way.

To reach the trailhead from Cadillac, head west on SR55 for 12 miles to Caberfree Road. Turn north on Caberfree Road for 2 miles. Turn west on FS38 for 1 mile to trail entrance.

Overall, Mackenzie Bike Trail is the 36th most popular mountain bike trail of all 37 mountain biking rides in Michigan.
