Gunnison River Bluffs Trail For Mountain Biking

South of Grand Junction, the Gunnison River Bluffs Trail is a 6.7 mile route that links with the 3.6 mile Spanish Trail to form a loop. This mountain bike route rolls through dusty high desert above the Gunnison River. There are two trailhead options.
To reach the southern trailhead from Grand Junction, head south on US50 to 31 Road. Turn right heading south on 31 Road (formerly Old Whitewater Road) for 2.0 miles. Trailhead parking area is on the right. This trailhead is the intersection of both the Gunnison River Bluffs Trail and the Spanish Trail.
To reach the northern trailhead from Grand Junction, head south on US50 to 28 1/2 Road. Turn west for 0.1 miles to a rough trailhead parking area. This trail head is the start of the Spanish Trail which leads to the Gunnisover River Bluffs Trail.
