South of Eureka and east of Garberville in the King Range National Conservation Area, the Paradise Royale Loop is a 14 mile loop dedicated to mountain biking. It follows old logging roads that have been converted into mountain bike trails with banked turns and jumps. The trails connect two ridges that overlook the Lost Coast. These trails opened in September 2008.
To reach the trailhead from Garberville, head north on US101 to Redwood Drive. Head west on Redwood Drive through Redway to Brice Thorne Road. Continue to Thorn Junction. Continue west on Shelter Cove Road toward Shelter Cove. Before Shelter Cove, turn right heading north on Kings Peak Road for about 2.8 miles to the trailhead.
Overall, Paradise Royale Mountain Bike Trail is the 112th most popular mountain bike trail of all 132 mountain biking rides in California.
