The La Esperanza Tour is a 40-50km mountain bike trek. It is a figure of 8 route high in the La Esperanza forest. The route starts out from Las Raices before climbing on the road for about 6km to Las Lagunetas where we pick up jeep tracks which generally follow the contours of the hillside giving fantastic views out towards Santa Cruz and if visibility is good, out to sea to Gran Canaria. On reaching the road we take a short break before tackling the singletrack return to Las Lagunetas. This starts out quite rocky with some awkward gulleys and large rocks with require a little bike carrying from time to time, but this soon turns into a beautiful fast flowing trail. On reaching Las Lagunetas, we again cross the public road to pick up some stunning flowing single track which is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face. After a final few Km's on jeep track and shorter sections of single track, make it back to our start point.

Overall, La Esperanza Tour is the 16th most popular mountain bike trail of all 20 mountain biking rides in Spain. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby La Esperanza Tour including Parque National del Teide, Tenerife, Vilaflor - Madre del Agua - Vilaflor, Long Way Down Tour, BikePark Tenerife and La Caldera de TaburienteCamino Aldea Blanca.
