Dead Horse Point State Park For Mountain Biking

The 68th most popular mountain bike trail in Utah.

Southwest of Moab, the Dead Horse Point State Park has 13 miles of loop trails open to mountain biking. The system consists of three loops ranging from one to eight miles. The easiest and shortest loop is call Intrepid. The moderate loop is called Great Pyramid and the most difficult loop is called Big Chief.

The trails were created with a grant from Intrepid Potash Inc and slated to be open in the Spring of 2009.

To reach Dead Horse Point State Park from Moab, head north on US191 for 9 miles. Then, head west on SR313 for 23 miles to the end of the highway.

Overall, Dead Horse Point State Park is the 68th most popular mountain bike trail of all 73 mountain biking rides in Utah. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Dead Horse Point State Park including White Rim Trail, Klondike Bluffs Trail, Kokopelli Trail, Slickrock Bike Trail, Poison Spider Trail and Whole EnchiladaPorcupine Rim Trail.
