Southeast of Wilmington, the town of Melrose has 30km of singletrack trails to explore by mountain bike. The trails are on the eastern edge of the Mount Remarkable National Park. Some of the tracks are built on private land and are freely available to the public, they are a mixture of Green/Blue but the majority is Black Diamond. The beauty of Melrose is that most of the tracks are accessible from your accommodation whether staying at the pub, cabins, or camping in Melrose,
no effort is required to pack up the car each time you want to go for a ride leaving much more time for riding and enjoying the bush.
There are two trailheads right in Melrose. First, there is a trailhead at the northwest end of Joes Road. Also, there is a trailhead at the northwest end of Brewery Street.
