Arcata Community Forest For Mountain Biking

The 131st most popular mountain bike trail in California.

North of Eureka and east of Arcata, the 790 acre Arcata Community Forest has a multi-use trail system through redwood forest open to mountain biking. There are a number of bridges, stairways and corduroy roads allow the trails to cross steep ravines and traverse forested hillsides. An 11.5 mile mountain bike only trail was completed in July of 2007.

Overall, Arcata Community Forest is the 131st most popular mountain bike trail of all 132 mountain biking rides in California. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Arcata Community Forest including Carter Meadows, Forks Blue-Ridge-Sawyers Bar Loop, Gunsight Peak Loop Trail, Bushwacker, Whitefish Divide / Blue Sky Loop and Lake Oroville State Recreation AreaHumboldt Redwoods State Park.
