Southeast of Geneva and Martigny, the alpine Verbier area is laced with an immense 500km trail network. Try the Tour Du Mont-Fort which is a marked route that loops through the alpine terrain surrounding Verbier. There are two options for the Tour Du Mont-Fort mountain biking route: the Easy Rider Tour (48.6km), and the Pro Rider Tour (59km). The Easy Rider Tour uses 4 lifts along the way to limit the climbing to 511m. The Pro Rider Tour uses 1 lift along the way to limit the climbing to 2,429m and descent to 3,112m.
To reach Verbier from Geneva, head east on Route A1 and south on Route A9 into Martigny. Follow Route 21 towards Verbier.
To reach Verbier by train, head to Martigny and transfer to Le Chable. In Le Chable, there are two options for getting to Verbier (no train station). First, there is hourly bus service from Le Chable to Verbier. Second, there is a new Le Chable-Verbier gondola lift that takes about 9 minutes (fee required).
