Snowmass Rim Trail For Mountain Biking

West of Aspen and north of Snowmass Village, the Rim Trail is a popular mountain biking and hiking route winding and rolling 7 miles from the village north to the Rec Center. Most mountain bikers will start at the south trailhead near the Snowmass Village transit center and ride north to the Rec Center. With this route, there is 1,600 feet of climbing and 2,300 feet of descent.
To reach the Snowmass trailhead from downtown Aspen, head west on SR82 for 6 miles. Turn left on Brush Creek Road for 4.5 miles to the Snowmass Village Mall base area where parking is available and there is a bus station which connects with Aspen.
From the Snowmass Village Mall base area, head back towards Aspen down Brush Creek Road for 0.25 miles. Turn left heading west up paved Divide Road to the trailhead on the right.
