Boggy Draw For Mountain Biking

Northeast of Dolores, the Boggy Draw trail system is popular with families and campers. The trails gently roll and wind through a mixed sage, scrub oak and ponderosa forest. The Boggy Draw trail system consists of four main loops, each of which are relatively short. The loops include Boggy Draw Loop (#199/8 mi.), Bean Canyon Loop, Mavericks Loop and Italian Canyon Loop. As of the summer of 2013, there are numerous other routes in this trail system planned.
To reach the Boggy Draw Trailhead from Dolores, head north on 11st Street that quickly becomes CR31 as it climbs the mesa. Continue for 2.2 miles to CR W. Turn right heading east on CR W for 0.9 miles to the trailhead parking area.
