North of Moab, the KlonZo Mountain Bike Trails is a newer mountain biking system opened in 2014. These trails are spread across the north and south sides of Willow Springs road. The trails are rolling through granular rock and sandy hills. The trail system is a winding network of a dozen trails that can be linked to form loops of varying lengths.
To reach the Klonzo trailhead for mountain biking from Moab, head north on US191 for roughly 12 miles to Willow Springs Road (it is 18.2 miles south of US70). Turn right heading east on Willow Springs Road for 2.5 miles to the signed trailhead. Note, there are sections of Willow Springs Road that are quite sandy and can bog down some vehicles. There are also numerous campsites along Willow Springs Road.
Overall, KlonZo Mountain Bike Trails is the 67th most popular mountain bike trail of all 73 mountain biking rides in Utah. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby KlonZo Mountain Bike Trails including White Rim Trail, Klondike Bluffs Trail, Kokopelli Trail, Slickrock Bike Trail, Poison Spider Trail and Whole EnchiladaPorcupine Rim Trail.
