Northwest of Panama City and Las Cumbres, the Camino del Oleoducto mountain bike route is an 11.2 mile out-and-back ride of moderate difficulty. Also known as the Gamboa Pipeline route, on this rolling dirt road climb, there is about 1,100 feet of climbing in each direction.

To reach the mountain biking in Panama by air, fly into Tocumen International Airport (PTY) located just east of Panama City.

The Camino del Oleoducto mountain bike ride is located to the northwest of Panama City and Las Cumbres. In the Colon province, the trailhead is located to the west of the town of Gamboa on Av Omar Torrijos Herrera. At the end of Av Omar Torrijos, park and start riding up Camino del Oleoducto.
