West of Boulder and just east of Nederland, the Blue Dot Trail is a recent addition to the Boulder mountain biking scene. This lollypop-style trail system is located to the southeast of Barker Reservoir. It is essentially a 2.25 mile one-way route with roughly 300 feet of elevation change. To reach the Blue Dot Trail mountain biking trailhead from Boulder, head west on Boulder Canyon Drive (SR119). Turn left heading southwest on Magnolia Road (FS132) to the trailhead on the right.
Overall, Blue Dot Trail is the 150th most popular mountain bike trail of all 175 mountain biking rides in Colorado.
