East of Sion and south of Sierre, the Der Brasilianer Trail in Val d’Anniviers offers mountain bikers a 30km descend with 2,000m of vertical. This challenging route starts at the Col de Cou summit and flows down to the Rhone River valley. There is a cable car that runs up to Col de Cret and then it’s a push up 400m to the Col de Cou summit.
To reach the mountain biking in Val d’Anniviers by air, the closest major airports are Geneva and Bern, which are both about 2.5 hours away. There is also a small airport in Sion.
To reach Val d’Anniviers by train, the near railway station is in Sierre, which is about 25km away. There is a regular Post Bus from the Sion Train Station.
