Near Canberra, the Mt. Mayura area is renowned for the best singletrack on the continent. One of the better mountain bike rides is the ascent of Mt. Majura which leads to a radical downhill run.

To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Canberra, head northeast to the suburb of Hackett. Off Mackenezie street, follow the fire road towards the water tower. Near the water tower, veer to the right and cross the cattle guard at the top along the ridge-line. From here, either enter the single track through the pine plantation straight ahead for a 15km route or turn left and climb Mt. Majura for a 5km loop.

Overall, Mt. Mayura Climb is the 11th most popular mountain bike trail of all 30 mountain biking rides in Australia.
