Seefeld For Mountain Biking

The 8th most popular mountain bike trail in Austria.

Northwest of Innsbruck, the modern Seefeld (pop. 2300) area has one of Europes best trail systems with over 100 miles of maintained tracks through federal forest lands. Get ready for awesome climbs and spectacular vistas. Try the 20+ mile mountain bike ride through the Gaistal Valley to Igelsee lake with alpine views along the way. Or trek up 2000 feet vertical to Walden Alm, one of the many mountain huts. After these warmups, try the 3000 vertical climb to Hottinger Alm.

To reach this area from Innsbruck, head west on Route A12/E60 and then follow 177 north to Seefeld.

Overall, Seefeld is the 8th most popular mountain bike trail of all 65 mountain biking rides in Austria.
