Just south of Lake Louise, the challenging Moraine Lake singletrack (10 km / 300 m) parallels Moraine Lake Road, climbs onto the shoulder of Mount Temple and then descends to Moraine Lake. The mountain bike trailhead is located on Moraine Lake Road about 1.8 km from Lake Louise Drive.

Overall, Moraine Lake is the 5th most popular mountain bike trail of all 23 mountain biking rides in Alberta. Several of the better mountain bike trails are nearby Moraine Lake including Alexandra River, Lake Minnewanka, Spray River / Goat Creek, Redearth Creek, Rundle Riverside and Bryant Creek TrailCascade.
