North of Lake Lousie off the Icefields Parkway, the Alexandra River Trail is a rough and tumble mountain bike ride on abandoned roads leading to a spectacular, remote wilderness valley (21km / 90m). There are several challenging river crossings best done during low water seasons. Be ready for a little bushwacking. To reach the mountain biking trailhead from Lake Louise, follow TC 1 west to SR93 north. The trailhead is located off SR93 about 15km north of Saskatchewan Crossing.
Overall, Alexandra River is the 11th most popular mountain bike trail of all 23 mountain biking rides in Alberta.
