In the Waterton Lakes National Park, there are several mountain bike trails through the incredible glacial carved peaks soaring up to 9,600. The trails wind through sub-alpine forests of red-barked Engelmann spruce. The best legal routes include the Akamina Pass/Creek Trail (6 km), Wishbone Trail (6.5 km), and Bauerman Creek (4.5 km).

Overall, Akamina Pass is the 16th most popular mountain bike trail of all 23 mountain biking rides in Alberta.
